Dear residents of Hackney Downs & Hackney Central,
For those who may or may not be aware, the Hackney Half Marathon takes place tomorrow, bringing an exciting atmosphere to the area. However, please be aware that many major roads across the borough and the surrounding areas will be closed throughout the day from as early as 5am to ensure the safety of runners and spectators. If you are travelling locally, please plan your journey in advance and allow for extra time, as access will be limited and diversions will be in place. For those taking part, we wish you the very best of luck on race day. Remember to stay well hydrated, stay safe and enjoy the incredible experience! And for those specating please support the runners, cheer on, stay safe and stay hydrated!!
